AP Racing is proud to offer placement opportunities to undergraduates who are seeking a year’s industrial experience within a globally recognised company. These placements are to begin in July 2024 (For approximately 13 months) and are as follows:

 

Role

Supporting the principal inspector and fellow colleagues with workload, aims and visions of the department. Developing a wide range of soft and hard skills, liaising both internally and externally across various departments, and communicating with suppliers.

Follow procedures to inspect AP Racing products – understanding the history of parts, ensuring correct documentation is in place, checking visually and dimensionally to ensure high quality components are released.

Will receive training in understanding engineering drawings and use a variety of metrological equipment, whilst being exposed to the full range of AP Racing products, gaining a better understanding of brake and clutch systems.

What we want from you

  • BEng/MEng Automotive/Mechanical/Motorsport/Manufacturing Engineering or similar (On-track for 2:1 or higher, in 2nd or 3rd year of study)
  • Willing to learn new skills, good at problem solving and coming up with creative solutions.
  • Passion, willing to work proactively and self-motivated.
  • Able to work in a team and communicate effectively.
